Process
What is thermal deburring?

Thermal deburring TEM is a precise method for burr removal through short, controlled combustion of a fuel gas and oxygen mixture in a closed pressure chamber. The thermal impulse removes burrs from cross-holes, internal channels and hard-to-reach areas with complex geometries, without the need for mechanical machining of each individual area.

TEM technology ensures high process repeatability and effective deburring of even complex components. Thanks to short cycle times it is suitable for both individual parts and high-volume production.

Our deburring service in Luhden

Since 2004, we have been developing and producing iTEM machines for thermal deburring. At the ATL plant in Luhden, we utilize three iTEM systems along with two modern industrial cleaning systems, enabling us to offer comprehensive services including deburring, cleaning, and passivation of components.

Suitable materials:
Steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass/bronze, zinc and aluminum die-casting, and plastics (thermoplastics)

Delivery terms:
Components must be delivered dry and free of oil and grease. Upon completion of the process, you will receive the components deburred, cleaned, and, if requested, passivated, directly from our plant in Luhden.
